About Kathleen Koontz
Kathleen is a native to Western North Carolina and bas worked in North Carolina Public Schools as a high-school English Teacher, Drop-out Prevention Specialist, and Counselor before joining higher education in the field of Student Accessibility.
Her grandmother, who graduated from Brevard Institute in 1922 and worked as a life-long educator, instilled in Kathleen the importance of recognizing and cultivating hidden human potential. In her free time, Kathleen works toward a goal: hiking as many trails in Pisgah National Forest (and other places) as possible.
