His expertise has guided Brevard College to financial stability and growth. Previous to his current role, Juan served at the VP of Athletics and Strategic Planning for five years. During that time, he led Brevard College through a successful transition from NCAA Division II to NCAA Division III to better fulfill the College’s mission where the institution has seen a drastic increase in incoming student-athlete GPA as well as overall department GPA. He also successfully implemented 7 new Athletic Programs with the goal of managing enrollment and retention. In addition to this role, Juan also  serves as our Head Women’s Soccer coach- a program who has seen many athletic and academic successes during his tenure.

Juan also spent seven years at the helm of Brevard’s men’s soccer program, leading the team from the 2007-2013 seasons. He became the first head coach in Brevard’s NCAA era when the Tornados attained full NCAA membership in 2008. He served on the Men’s Soccer Regional Advisory Committee from 2010-2013 where regional selections were made for NCAA Championships. Since coming to Brevard, Juan has also been in the classroom, teaching seven different courses as needed for the Business & Organizational Leadership Department.

Prior to Brevard, Juan was an assistant coach with the Campbell University Women’s Soccer program. He trained the goalkeepers, served as recruiting coordinator, and monitored academic success. He was also an assistant men’s soccer coach for the University of Central Florida for six seasons, helping lead the Golden Knights to an Atlantic Sun championship and a national ranking that peaked at No. 13.
