Savage, Peter

Assistant Professor of Theatre

Peter earned his BA in Theatre from the University of Montana and an MFA in Acting from UNC Chapel Hill. After a brief stint in NYC where he performed in Off-Off-Broadway shows, Peter moved to Asheville in 2001 where he has lived ever since. Locally, he has performed at NC Stage, Parkway Playhouse and with the Immediate Theatre Company.

Prior to coming to Brevard, Peter taught for 12 years at Western Carolina University in their School of Stage and Screen and was the Drama Director at The Asheville School, a private boarding school in West Asheville. He has directed over a dozen shows and counts his production of Medea at Brevard College as one of his most rewarding artistic acheivements.

In addition to Acting, Peter also teaches Theatre History, Script Analysis, Intro to Theatre and World Theatre. He is married to his lovely and supportive wife Amanda and they have two young girls that keep them both very busy!!!
