PERSONABLE AND PROFESSIONAL

Destini Petitt is a first generation PhD. She serves as the Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies at Brevard College. Destini is passionate about science education and understanding how land-use changes impact water quality and quantity. Destini has served as a co-chair of the Land of the Sky chapter of the NC Native Plant Society and as a mentor to women in STEM and Latin American students wanting to attend college in the United States. When she isn’t working, Destini enjoys exploring the great outdoors through hiking, biking, and kayaking with her partner and pets.
