Veterans Educational Benefits

Thank you for choosing to use your VA educational benefit at Brevard College!

For students who are new to using VA educational benefits at Brevard College, the first step is to email a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to the School Certifying Official, Jeff McCants (McCantsjb@Brevard.edu).  You can request your COE here: https://www.va.gov/education/after-you-apply/

Enrollment will be certified by semester, based on programs approved by North Carolina State Approving Agency (NC SAA). You may access Brevard College’s approved programs using the VA's online  WEAMS Report.

Students with eligible VA benefits should contact the financial aid office as soon as possible to learn how VA funding works at Brevard College.  Students with VA funding eligibility are awarded under the Brevard College VA Funding Policy.  Depending on the chapter of benefits for which students qualify, Brevard College grants and scholarships may not combine with VA funding as Brevard College funds, other than the Yellow Ribbon Matching Grant, are considered restricted from the VA standpoint.
