About Sarah Siskind
Sarah Siskind is a singer-songwriter currently based in Brevard, NC.
Prior to her move to Brevard, she lived in Nashville where she began her career in the music industry as a songwriter. She has written songs that have been performed by artists including Allison Kraus, Randy Travis, Point of Grace, and many others.
In addition, she was the lead songwriter for the hit ABC show Nashville. Since her successful songwriting debut, she has focused on her career as a performing artist and has appeared on NPR, Mountain Stage, and World Cafe. Sarah has also toured with Bonnie Rait, Lee Ann Womack, and Bon Iver.
While she still leads an active performing career (see her website at sarahsiskind.com for details), she takes time to lead workshops on songwriting at Brevard College and is our lead teacher for any students wishing to pursue a career in songwriting.
