From the classroom to the soccer field, Patrick Hall `20 left his mark on Brevard College and is continuing that impact as he pursues a career in professional sports administration.

As a dedicated Tornado soccer student athlete, Hall showcased his athleticism on the field as a goalkeeper. His commitment to excellence extended far beyond the pitch, as he ended each of his four years at BC on the honor roll. His academic consistency demonstrated Hall’s ability to balance the demands of collegiate sports with rigorous academic pursuits, a skill that has served him well in his professional life.

Hall’s impact at Brevard College extended beyond his roles as a student and athlete. He took on the important responsibility of being a Resident Advisor, a position that allowed him to guide and support his fellow students. Patrick also seized the opportunity to broaden his horizons by participating in the Voice of the Rivers (VOR) program in 2019. The VOR program’s emphasis on proper planning, teamwork, and problem-solving aligns perfectly with the skills needed in the fast-paced world of professional sports management.

Immediately after graduating in 2020, Hall kicked off his career working as the Associate Director of Athletic Operations here at BC and credits much of his early success to the skills learned while holding the position.

“As Assistant Director of Athletic Operations, I learned necessary skills in administering athletic events I wasn’t privy to as an athlete, in an environment I was already comfortable in that fostered a growth mindset,” said Hall.

After serving in the role for a year, Hall set off to earn his MS in Sports Management from the University of Florida. His first position in professional sports was focused on inside sales at the Philadelphia Flyers, and Hall quickly climbed the ranks within the organization. Recently, Hall has returned to his North Carolina roots, currently working as the inside sales manager with Charlotte FC, the Queen City’s exciting Major League Soccer team. This move not only brings him closer to home but also places him at the forefront of Charlotte’s burgeoning soccer scene. Charlotte FC, one of the newest additions to Major League Soccer, offers a unique opportunity for Hall to be part of building a franchise from the ground up.

Hall’s enthusiasm for his current role is high, particularly given Charlotte FC’s partnership with the Carolina Panthers. As sister franchises, the Panthers and Charlotte FC share ownership under Tepper Sports and Entertainment as well as Bank of America Stadium. This collaboration between two major sports franchises in Charlotte presents unique opportunities for growth and collaboration in the local sports landscape, something Hall plans to capitalize on. The synergy between soccer and football, two of America’s most popular sports, creates an exciting environment for sports business professionals like Hall.

Looking ahead, Hall aspires to continue building his career in professional athletics in Charlotte. His journey from Brevard College to the big leagues serves as an inspiration to current students and fellow alumni alike. It showcases the diverse opportunities available to BC graduates and highlights how the skills and experiences gained at BC can translate into success.
