Brevard College Celebrates the Season at the Annual Christmas Parade

Brevard 09.2016-0629

Following the conclusion of classes and just ahead of final exams, Brevard College joined the community for the annual Brevard Christmas Parade, bringing plenty of holiday spirit to downtown.

The Institute for Women in Leadership (IWIL) designed a festive float and distributed candy to paradegoers, while members of the Softball team added their own creative touch by decorating a campus gator for the occasion. Student-athletes from across multiple teams participated in the parade route, greeting families, waving to the crowd, and handing out treats. Members of the college’s 2025 women’s soccer championship team were among those representing the Tornados.

The event offered a joyful moment of connection between the college and the greater Brevard community. From spirited costumes to unexpected parade pairings, the afternoon reflected both campus pride and small-town celebration.

Brevard College extends appreciation to the Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce for organizing the annual parade and creating an opportunity for students and community members to gather during the holiday season. The event provided a welcome pause between the end of classes and the start of finals, closing out the semester on a festive note.
