Freshman, Abby Delp, from Waxhaw, North Carolina earned a win in her first career start by tossing seven-complete innings in a 3-1 victory over Carolina University. Delp allowed one run on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts. Delp’s victory gave Brevard a doubleheader sweep on Opening Day last Wednesday.
The Tornados return to action on Tuesday as Brevard hosts Pfeiffer University at the BC Softball Field at 1 and 3 p.m.
