About Dr. Kathryn Gresham

Kathryn Gresham is Associate Professor of Music and Chair of the Fine Arts Division. Her students have performed on the winner’s stage at the state, regional and national auditions of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, in both classical and musical theatre categories. They also have gone onto training programs at YoungArts, Open Jar, Indiana University and the Janiec Opera Company, as well as performing organizations such as the Flat Rock Playhouse, the Goodspeed Opera House, and Sarasota Opera.

As a singer, Dr. Gresham is most active as a soloist in large sacred works and as a collaborator in faculty recitals. She has a passion for contemporary music and has collaborated with composers in the southeast, Massachusetts, Colorado and California to premiere new works. A firm believer in the power of song to comfort, uplift, and even change hearts, her greatest joy is working with young singers to nourish and channel their gifts to this purpose.
