Course content is connected, intentionally, to direct experience. Faculty often use content to tackle important issues. Students learn to how to take what they've learned and act.

THE MOUNTAINS ARE a CLASSROOM

Regardless of the academic program, students will get their hands dirty in nearby Pisgah National Forest, DuPont State Forest, Bracken Mountain Recreation Area, Gorges State Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Cradle of Forestry.

Students expand their experiential resume in the Town of Brevard, which offers exceptional service-learning, internships, music, and a vibrant atmosphere.
