Brevard College women’s soccer student-athlete Kiara Porcelli has been named a 2024 Coaches Scholar All-South Region Second-Team performer by the United Soccer Coaches association. The award is presented to women’s soccer student-athletes throughout the nation who display excellence both on the field and in the classroom. Porcelli adds to her academic and athletic honors having also been named a CSC Academic-All-District performer each of the past two seasons.
A junior midfielder from Merrimack, New Hampshire, Porcelli scored eight goals in 2024 to help lead the BC attack en route to being named to First Team All-Conference by the USA South and to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Third Team. Porcelli’s success in the classroom comes as a Childhood Education (K-6) major at BC.
Porcelli patrolled the BC midfield all season with 1,369 minutes played for the Tornados throughout the program’s undefeated season in 2024. Porcelli recorded her first career hat trick vs. Greensboro and scored a pair of goals in a victory over Hollins.
The Brevard College women’s soccer team won the USA South Conference regular season championship for the first time in school history, finishing the season with an undefeated 15-0-3 record.
