Season-High 38 Made Field Goals, 14 3-Pointers, and 98 Points
The Brevard College women’s basketball team (12-3, 7-1 USA South) continued its winning ways as the Tornados scored a season-high 98 points in a 98-46 triumph over Salem (3-8, 0-7 USAS) on Wednesday evening at the Boshamer Gymnasium.
Five Tornados scored in double digits, with 11 registering points in the offensive explosion. BC hit its most field goals of the season (38), matched its season high in 3-pointers made (14), and distributed 27 assists on 38 made baskets.
Overall, BC shot 54% from the field while hitting its long-range baskets at a 44% clip. Brevard’s defense wreaked havoc on the Spirits, forcing 24 turnovers with 16 steals and converting the mistakes into 36 points off turnovers. Brevard’s bench scored 40 points in the contest, and BC totaled 48 points down low and 20 transition points in yet another dominant victory. In 2025-25, Brevard has won 11 of its 12 games by double digits, including seven victories by 20 or more points and four triumphs by 30-plus.
Jada Petty-Wilkins paced the Tornado charge with 20 points, seven assists, and six rebounds alongside three steals defensively. The senior guard from Tryon, N.C. drilled a team-best six 3-pointers while stuffing the stat sheet all evening. Analee Morris added 16 points for her eighth double-digit scoring effort of the season. Kayden Johnson scored 12 points, and Olivia Miller rounded out a productive effort from the starter with eight points and nine boards. Malayka Rankin (13 points) and Christena Rhone (12 points) accounted for 25 of BC’s 40 bench points.
A pair of 30-plus point quarters propelled the Tornados to the dominant win, as BC took control early with a 31-13 first quarter. Brevard held a 50-29 halftime advantage before pulling away for good with a 32-11 third-quarter margin. BC shut the door, allowing just six points in the fourth stanza to complete the season-high 52-point triumph.
