Brevard College football student-athletes Nicholas Clark and Cooper Hogan were recently named 2023 Academic All-District performers, selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA).
The Academic All-District team is part of the Academic All-America program that has been honoring outstanding academic and athletic achievement by student-athletes throughout the landscape of college sports since 1952. The Football Academic All-America teams will be announced later this month.
Clark is a junior linebacker from Asheboro, North Carolina who is an Exercise Science major at Brevard. Playing in nine contests in 2023, Clark posted multiple-tackle performances in road wins at Methodist and LaGrange.
A junior from New London, North Carolina, Hogan is majoring in Business and Organizational Leadership at BC. On the field, Hogan ranked third on the team with 34 receptions and 429 receiving yards in 2023. His 75-yard reception at Greensboro marked a career-long for the versatile wideout.
The 2023 Academic All-District Football teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
