A grand total of 229 conference and national awards were handed out to Brevard College student-athletes for their achievements during the 2020-21 season. A total of 31 national awards were garnered by Tornado student-athletes this past season, including 11 national academic awards.
In addition to the multitude of individual awards, 2020-21 team accolades included four postseason berths, a divisional championship and a divisional co-championship. The Brevard College Men’s Soccer team won the 2020-21 USA South West Division championship; the BC Football team was named USA South West Division co-champion, and the Tornado Women’s Basketball and Women’s Soccer teams each earned first-ever berths to USA South Conference postseason play.
For their achievements in the classroom, the Brevard College Women’s Lacrosse team was named an IWLCA Academic Honors Squad and the BC Women’s Tennis team was named an ITA All-Academic Team.
A school record 129 Brevard College student-athletes were named 2020-21 USA South Academic All-Conference selections. A total of 32 BC student-athletes also earned “With Distinction” honors for superior academic achievement.
