Brevard College Theatre will present Mixtape, an evening of student work on Tuesday, December 2 at 7 p.m. in the Morrison Playhouse at the Paul Porter Center for Performing Arts. Admission to the event is free to the public.
Mixtape will feature selections from Brevard College Theatre courses in Dance, Directing, and Stage Management. Brevard College students will present artifacts of their work including live dance performances, directing scenes, and a unique view of the theatre from the backstage perspective. There will also be a collaborative capstone presentation from BC senior Evy Higdon about the process of creating the wigs, hair, makeup and special effects design for Ms. Holmes and Ms. Watson – Apt 2b.
Brevard College Theatre is a company who prioritizes collaboration and the exploration of theatre arts as a means of communication and social action. Within the College’s mission of experiential learning, BC Theatre faculty and staff strive to present students with authentic and meaningful experiences representative of real-world production and performance in the industry. The public is welcome to participate in this effort by supporting student work through Mixtape.
