The Brevard College Wind Ensemble will present their first concert of the semester
this Monday, February 26 at 7:30 pm in The Paul Porter Center for Performing Arts.
The program will include works that have been inspired by jazz, some more directly than others.
The highlight of the program is Artie Shaw’s Clarinet Concerto, featuring guest artist Dr. Luci
Disano, clarinetist with “The President’s Own.” Dr. Disano’s playing has been described as
“effortlessly virtuosic” and “utterly delightful.” A former student at Brevard Music Center, Dr.
Disano is looking forward to returning to Brevard.
Monday’s concert is free and open to the public. The performance will take place in Scott
Concert Hall in the Porter Center on the Brevard College campus.
Brevard College is located at 1 Brevard College Drive, Brevard, North Carolina. More
