Football: School-Record Four Tornados Named to Prestigious NFF Hampshire Honor Society

This academic year, Brevard College Football earned a school-record four selections on the 2024 National Football Foundation’s renowned Hampshire Honor Society.  BC football student-athletes Luke Dodson, Eli Everhart, Kameron Moore and Joc Pledger were all selected to the prestigious group of college football athletes across all NCAA divisions.

Dodson is a senior linebacker from Brevard, North Carolina who is majoring in Criminal Justice.  A key contributor on defense, Dodson registered a sack and three tackles to help lead BC in a critical USA South Conference road win at Greensboro.

A senior linebacker from Thomasville, North Carolina, Everhart played in nine games this season as an important piece of the BC defense.  In his three-year career at BC after transferring, he recorded 31 tackles and three tackles-for-loss.  Everhart will graduate with a degree in Business & Organizational Leadership from BC.

Kameron Moore is a senior defensive back from Miami, Florida who accumulated 55 tackles, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles and one interception in his four-year career at BC.  Moore will graduate with a degree in Business & Organizational Leadership.

Joc Pledger, a graduate student in BC’s Health & Human Performance program, finished his illustrious football career at Brevard in the fall of 2023.  A native of Monroe, Georgia, he was the first football All-American in school history and a multiple D3Football.com Team of the Week honoree.  Pledger concluded his career with a whopping 14 career interceptions to go along with 123 total tackles and 40 pass breakups.

Nominated by their respective schools, members of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society must be either a senior player who will graduate this spring/summer, and just completed his final year of playing eligibility in 2023 or a graduated player, who has been out of high school at least (3) years.  Candidates must have attained a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.2 (4.0 scale); and been starters or significant contributors throughout the 2023 season.
