To kick off the academic year, Brevard College’s Art Department has asked Jim Jinkins, esteemed Disney and Nickelodeon animator and creator, to speak about his career.
Jinkins, creator of the popular ‘90s animated TV series, “, “Doug,” “PB & J Otter,” “Pinky Dinky Doo,” and “Stanley,” will give a presentation on his career in animation at Brevard College on Wednesday, September 26, at 4 p.m. Jinkins will take questions and sign autographs immediately following his presentation in Room 125 of the MaClarty Goodson building at Brevard College.
In addition to creating many TV series, he established Jumbo Pictures in 1990, which he sold to Disney executives in 1996.
Jinkins founded an independent company, Cartoon Pizza, which produced shows such as “JoJo’s Circus,” “Stanley,” “Stanley’s Dinosaur Round-Up,” “HoopDogz,” and “Pinky Dinky Doo.”
As part of the experiential mission of Brevard College, the Art Department will host exemplar artists such as Jim Jinkins.
