Brevard College President Bradley J Andrews, Ph.D. spoke at a seminar to brief members of Congress on the business model for small, independent colleges on Thursday, June 12 at the United States Capitol in Washington D.C.

The event, titled “How Private, Nonprofit Colleges Meet the Cost of Educating Students”, was hosted by the Congressional Independent Colleges Caucus (CICC) and the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU).

Andrews was one of three college presidents speaking at the event that featured CICC Co-Chairs Ben Cline (R-VA) and Deborah Ross (D-NC) of the U.S. House of Representatives.

The Congressional Independent Colleges Caucus serves as an informal group of members of Congress dedicated to addressing the issues related to private, nonprofit colleges and the students they serve, while educating colleagues on the issues facing independent colleges and universities.
