Brevard College’s record-breaking 2024-25 women’s soccer team earned yet another accolade: the Tornados garnered the Team Academic Award from United Soccer Coaches
A total of 697 soccer teams (283 men, 414 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2024-25 academic year. Of that total, 151 schools had both their men’s and women’s programs recognized.
One of just six unbeaten programs across all levels of collegiate soccer in the 2024 campaign, the Tornados earned the program’s first conference regular season championship of the NCAA era. The Tornados secured three major awards from the USA South Conference and added a total of seven All-Conference honorees. Five BC student-athletes were selected as All-Region by United Soccer Coaches as well. On the academic side, five Tornados were named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators, and a grand total of 23 BC women’s soccer student-athletes were placed on the USA South Academic All-Conference Team.
