Brevard College Theatre presents Vanities: A New Musical

Vanities (2)

Brevard College Theatre is proud to present Vanities: A New Musical, book by Jack Heifner, with music and lyrics by David Kirschenbaum.

This genre-defining, time-hopping hit features Brevard College students Naomi Firebaugh (‘25), Lyric Contarino (‘26), and Amelia Payne (‘27). The show will run Thursday – Saturday, April 24, 25, and 26 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 27 at 2:30 p.m. in the Morrison Playhouse at Brevard College’s Paul Porter Center for Performing Arts.

Directed by faculty member Dan Toot, with Music Direction by Fine Arts Division Chair Dr. Kathryn Gresham, Vanities tells the story of three young women living their lives, chasing their dreams, and encountering wins, losses, and heartbreak along the way. Starting in the 60’s, continuing into the 70’s, and into the 90’s, we see the changing face of this country through the lives of women working to stay friends as they pursue their own versions of the American Dream. Vanities encourages us to ask the question: Is there really such a thing as “Best Friends Forever”?

Due to adult language and themes, this show is not recommended for young children. The show runs 90 minutes with no intermission. Tickets can be purchased online at or at the door. Ticket prices are $5 for students, faculty and staff and $15 for the general public. Tickets can be purchased online at https://www.onthestage.tickets/show/brevard-college/vanities or at the door, if available.
