Alumnus Dan Woodall `16 recently joined the Alumni Affairs and Development Office as the new Manager of Alumni Relations, Communications and Events. Dan’s enthusiasm, drive, and background made him the ideal candidate for this role, and BC is excited to see what he can conquer in his new position.

Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Dan was attracted to BC because of the Wilderness Leadership and Experiential Education (WLEE) program, plus the location. He frequently explored the surrounding areas with friends and was fully immersed in the WLEE program. Dan met Natalie Green `16 after their time at Brevard College and married in 2020. They recently welcomed Rosa, their daughter, in November.

In Dan’s new role, he will be facilitating alumni events, working with the Alumni Association Board, managing communication pieces, and more.

“I’m excited to reconnect with BC and give back to the community that has given me so much. The College shaped me to be the person I am today. Experiential education inspired me to become a lifelong learner and provided me with a diverse skill set that has applied to many different organizations I’ve worked in and hobbies that I enjoy,” stated Dan.

Before joining Brevard College, Dan was the Vice President of Operations at FIND Outdoors, a nonprofit and USFS Partner and Concessionaire based in Pisgah Forest, NC. Dan has worked in the outdoor industry for seven years and is excited to learn something new in higher education at his alma mater.

“I look forward to getting to know all of our alumni and hearing their stories,” Dan explained. “Things are going so well here at Brevard College and I’m excited to share the news with our alumni base.”
