CSC MSOC

Brevard College men’s soccer student-athletes Colin McCabe and Dan Morgan have been named 2024 CSC Men’s Soccer Academic All-District performers, selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA).  BC men’s soccer has accumulated 10 Academic All-District awards over the past three seasons.

The Academic All-District team is part of the Academic All-America program that has been honoring outstanding academic and athletic achievement by student-athletes throughout the landscape of college sports since 1952. The Men’s Soccer Academic All-America teams will be announced in December.

A graduate student from Milledgeville, Georgia, McCabe is pursuing a Master’s of Business Administration from Brevard College.  McCabe started in 15 matches in 2024 and was named to the USA South Conference All-Sportsmanship Team.

Morgan, a Business and Organizational Leadership major, earns Academic All-District honors for the second consecutive season.  The versatile junior from Northumberland, England, Morgan played key minutes in 15 games this season for  the Tornados.

The 2024 Tornados hosted a USA South Conference Men’s Soccer Championship Game for the first time in program history after finishing second in the league’s regular season.  BC finished 2024 with a 8-4-3 overall record and a 5-1-1 record in conference play.

The 2024 Academic All-District Men’s Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
