Pardee UNC Health Care recently signed an agreement that will provide exclusive medical care to Brevard College student-athletes. Through this agreement, Pardee will provide medical support to Brevard College’s men’s and women’s athletic teams. Working with Southeastern Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, a department of Pardee Hospital, and other sports medicine providers, Pardee clinicians will work year-round with BC student-athletes in support of training, injury prevention, treatment and game-day medical coverage.
“Partnering with Brevard College is an exciting opportunity for Pardee and Southeastern as we are committed to providing student-athletes with expert sports medicine and orthopedic care,” said Dwayne Durham, Director, Pardee Sports Medicine. “Our expertise in sports medicine helps athletes recover from sports-related injuries and perform at their best before, during and after their games. We are thrilled to bring this same level of support to Brevard College.”
“I’m extremely excited about the partnership between Pardee UNC Health Care and Brevard College,” said Myranda Nash, Director of Athletics/Executive Director of Strategy and Operations, Brevard College. “Over the past few months, it’s been inspiring to learn about the passion and dedication Pardee has for our community and their desire to be team members with us in providing excellent care for our students holistically as well as providing care for our student-athletes.”
Pardee provides comprehensive primary care services, including internal medicine and family medicine, for people of all ages. In addition, Pardee’s sports medicine program specializes in evaluating, managing, rehabilitating, and preventing injury and disorders in student-athletes. Pardee has eight years of experience serving as the official sports medicine healthcare provider for middle and high schools throughout western North Carolina. This partnership will give Brevard College students-athletes exclusive access to Pardee services including primary care, urgent care, and orthopedic care.
