The Brevard College softball team has earned the sixth seed in this week’s Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Tournament, which is being held on the campus of Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tenn.
The Tornados will open the tournament on Thursday afternoon against third-seeded Wingate University at 12:30 p.m. from Dorothy Neely Field. The Tornados swept the Bulldogs at home on April 12th, taking the opener 1-0 and the nightcap 6-5 to clinch their sixth straight win.
The Tornados won nine of their last 10 games, including doubleheader sweeps over Coker, Lincoln Memorial, Wingate and Catawba, to finish the regular season 22-23 overall and in sixth place in the SAC with an 11-9 record.
