Brevard College returned to its high-water mark this spring as enrollment numbers sailed above what the college had seen in 14 years.
New student spring enrollment increased 27 percent compared to last year. This record enrollment comes after Brevard College welcomed its largest number of students in September 2014.
“We’re moving in the right direction,” said Brevard College President David Joyce. “In order to reach our admissions goals, we have to do it at a planned and steady pace.”
The college is on schedule to continue its enrollment climb. Applicants for admission for fall 2015 jumped 12 percent compared to last year and 215 percent compared to fall 2013.
School officials point to Brevard’s commitment to experiential liberal arts education, small class size and excellent faculty as reasons for the recent enrollment surge.
Brevard College is committed to an experiential liberal arts education that encourages personal growth and inspires artistic, intellectual, and social action.
